London, Crystal Palace, 1964: Olympic Trials for the 1964 Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan. George Newton (featherweight) lifting 285 lbs in jerk. Mike Pearman (middleweight) lifting 272 1/2 lbs. Sylvanus Blackman (light Heavyweight) jerks 345 lbs. George Manners (light heavyweight) jerks 345 lbs. Louis Martin (middle heavyweight) beats British record.
