Olympic Games, Melbourne, Australia, 1956: World strongest man of the 1950s Paul Anderson (USA) wins his gold medal at the Summer Olympics. His liffting techniques were certainly questionable even by the standards of the time but, in terms of his raw strength talent, Paul Anderson went well beyong his times.
