Ernest Peppiatt

:: 2/9/2016: Denis Aheren, Essex , England
Ernie was coach with the British WL team in Tokyo '64 Olympics. As a lifter in his club, Kentish Town I can say only that I could have lifted more if I listened to him more. He was one of the best characters I have ever had the honour to know.

Unfortunately Ernie Peppiatt had cancer and eventually emigrated to New Zealand where he eventually passed away many years ago

:: 7/30/2012: Ernie Parkes, canvey Island Essex, United Kingdom
Ernie was for many years the coach at the Kentish Town Weightlifting Club in London, one of the top clubs in the UK.I often trained there in the 1970's and he was an excellent coach and a very decent man to know.

My dad, Alexander McCormack (Sandy) served on board the HMS Ramiles with Ernest during the second world war. My dad lives with me now and still tells me, his grandchildren and his great grandchildren, stories about Ernest's feats of strenghth on board the ship. Is Ernest still alive?
