Pete Kravtsov: He had a beautiful, nicely tanned figure. His tan was nicely emphasized by a white weightlifting singlet that he liked to compete in. I haven't seen anyone else competing in a similar outfit :-)

I remember this photo appearing in 'Strength and Health' many years ago. I seem to recall the caption saying he was the first in the weight class to jerk 227.5 but I think it was a non tested competition so he couldn't get credit for a world record. Anyway, it still illustrates the depth the Soviets had in the heavier classes.
