Exhibitional Weightlifting, Afghanistan 1953: Sponsored by the AAU and the U.S. State Department, Team USA made several trips abroad in the 1950s including first visit of a US team ever to Russia, trips to various countries in the Middle East. Led by Bob Hoffman, US team conducted open meets with local teams and showcased the advantages of Olympic weightlifting. The footage shows demonstrational lifts made in Afghanistan by Chuck Vinci, Tommy Kono, Dave Sheppard, Clyde Emrych and more.
