Summer Olympics, Atlanta, Georgia, USA 1968: One of the leading heavyweights of the first half of the 1990s, Timur Taymazov wins the 108kg class with the 430 kg total. The footage features his 195 kg snatch and the 236 kg world record in the clean and jerk lift. Native of Ossetia, Taymazov represented in his career both the CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States) and Ukraine in the international competitions. His younger brother Artur Taymazov also won gold Olympic medal in freestyle wrestling in 2004.
