Norik Vardanian
:: 8/3/2015: Michael E. Loomis, Woodland CA, USA Since I was Assistant Coach February 2002 until January 2006, I would like to commend Norik Vardanian regarding your recent Silver medal performance, representing the USA at the 2015 Pan American Games in Toronto, Canada. Norik's 362 Kg. Total in the 94 Kg. Class (3 of 6 successful attempts) was done after crossing many physical and psychological hurdles. The average USA male strength trainee (non-lifter, age 18-35 years, bdywt. 185 lbs.) who visits the gym 3x a week cannot split or squat Snatch for a single repitition, 85 Kg. (187 lbs.). Therefore, this recreational athlete will never understand what it takes to Snatch 160 Kg. (352 lbs.) and Clean and Jerk 202 Kg. (445 lbs.) at 206 lbs. bodyweight. Norik, in his 13th year as an amateur athlete, I hope your training will insure success starting today and working towards the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, August 2016. Tvoy druk, s krasivih ulihbat'sa. I remain, always, Michael E Loomis.
