Nicknamed “Jeep” or “JP”, Jean Paul Parise was a skillful NHL forward that had a versatile experience with various NHL teams. Although he was not a spectacular player with eye-catching technique, Parise was considered a very solid coachable winger known for his sound play in defense, impressive corner work and many other abilities that he was able to show depending on the coaches’ assignments in the teams he played with.

PERFORMANCE IN THE 1972 SUMMIT
J.P. Parise was a leader of the Summit in penalties. Most of his penalty minutes came in the last game of the Series in Moscow. Overall, Parise showed a solid performance. He played in six games and scored in Game 3 in Winnipeg and in Game 5 in Moscow.
